澳大利亚各州路局规定，如果你是持临时签证入境澳洲，中国驾照加驾照翻译件就可以使用。因为国内要求跟澳洲不一样，在中国就算驾照上边有着实习期一年，但是发给你的驾照你也可以独自开车，只是你需要挂上实习，而且上高速需要有更高等级证3年以上的人陪同，否则罚款200元。在澳洲就不会有上高速有特别说明。但是会有你可以不可以独自开车的说法。所以就算中国驾照在实习期，在澳洲你可以用中国驾照和驾照翻译件独自开车。在澳洲，中国驾照在实习期和不在实习期内，使用时是一样的。只要您还没拿到澳洲身份，你可以用中国驾照（包括实习期内的中国驾照）和驾照翻译件驾车。
Australian State Railway Administration regulations, if you are holding a temporary visa in Australia, you can use Chinese driver’s license plus translation and drive legally. Regulations in Australia is different from China, in China ,even if you are in probation year, but you still holding a driver’s license and you are allowed to drive on your own. but you required to put a PRACTICE PLATE. And you are not allowed to drive on freeway on your own. But in Australia, the different between full license and P is whether you can drive allow. So as long as you are not changing your visa to Australian permanent resident , by law you can use Chinese driver’s license ( including the Chinese driver’s license with one year probation) and drive in Australia on your own.
